Catch up on Little C

I realize that my child is growing every day. He's almost out of Kindergarten and on to 1st grade. I am awfully impressed with his math skills (of course, I have no one else his age to compare him to), but this weekend, grandpa gave him a pocketful of change and told him he could keep it if he could count it. And except for a little help adding up the quarters, he did great. He managed to count out $1.50 in coins! Woohoo!

In addition (no pun intended) to adding quite brilliantly for his young age, he's been quite creative in his expressions. Last week he said "Mom I love you more than bean burritos." and this morning when I tried to wake him up for school, he rolled over and said "sock monkey." I often wonder if it's because he's a guy or if it's because he's a kid, that I just don't get what he's talking about. Or maybe, I'm just not a young and hip mom and "sock monkey" is some slang? Hmmm.

Oh, and we're so proud of him because he's got his new belt!
T & C
Here he is with T, his partner in crime (they're in the same class and played soccer together too!)

My mood: proud and amused and have a weird cramp
