Transformers 2

Finally the day had come. We were on Maui, but that didn't stop us. We drove over to Kahului on Wednesday (opening day) to catch Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen at the Kaahumanu Theaters. The lines were manini compared to a line over on this island. Of course, the theater was small too, so we didn't get the full effect of the "big" screen. Not to worry, I'm sure I will end up seeing it again at least once more before it leaves the theaters. If you don't wanna know what happens, you should stop reading now...

IMO, this movie was not as good as the last one. And it was too long. There was a lot of unnecessary fighting and blowing up of stuff, but hey, that's what makes a great action film right? It was a great action film. The plot was a little weak. And when did Transformers start morphing into flesh? Why would OP depend on Sam to convince the military and the President that the world needed them? What was with all the unnecessary booty shots? Little One thought the two twin bots were hilarious. We even have a shirt with them on it now. The action scenes were pretty intense in some places, although I have a hard time seeing clearly when the transformers are fighting, like who's who and what's going on. Too much metal. I liked that a lot of the main characters came back (of course, why wouldn't they?). Overall, I have to say it was a good movie, just wished the story was better.

It was his first movie in a theater. Woohoo! Maybe now we can go see something else.

Wondering how many Transformers movies there will be? Do we see another one on the horizon?

My mood: exhausted
