Football frenzy

On Sunday, I experienced the thrill of live football scoring on my team. It was cool. I watched the Indiana vs. Minnesota game, since I have Peyton on one team and Peterson on the other, it was great no matter who won. Was sad to find out that one of my wide receivers is out for the season. That sucks. After week 2, I am in 6th place of 11 teams. Not too shabby for someone who does not follow football players.

Watched the depressing first half of the UH game. Since it was tape delayed, I only could suffer through the first half then cheated and looked at the final score to find out if it was worth the agony of defeat. It wasn't. They suffered a killing. Too bad. They keep talking about the fans losing faith and how we need to hang in there when they do badly. Huh? Maybe if the games were free to watch on tv people would have more "loyalty," but what's up with charging pay-per-view for games that we're just going to lose anyway? It was an AWAY game, yet you could only get it by paying $50 OR wait almost 24-hours to watch it. The games used to be televised for free (tape delayed, but at least on the same day!) when they were losing, but now that they're winning they feel like they have the right to charge us to watch it? Please! Do they really wonder why no one has faith? How's about loyalty to the fans? How's about football for sport and camaraderie instead of for profit? Anyway, I'm getting irritated just thinking about it.

Oooh, loved, loved, loved Tina Fey as Sarah Palin.

My mood: tired, slightly irritated, and my right eye is twitching (it's been bugging me all day)
