Aftermath

The day after Christmas is always like the aftermath of a hurricane that has whipped throughout my abode. My usual routine is to wake up, survey the damage, make some futile attempt to diminish the destruction, give up, eat something out of frustration and hunger (cold pizza), and finally abandon all cleaning efforts. Today is not so different from my usual plan.

I hope everyone had a joyous holiday and that all your Christmas wishes came true. I had 2 wishes this year. My first did come true. My second was a bust. Santa did not stop by with his housecleaning elves. Alas, I am stuck in the muck of straightening out and sorting through a year's worth of clutter. Yet again. Sigh. And we haven't even opened all our gifts yet.

The only productive thing done so far is laundry. I have got to start emptying out C-Man's pockets. He is starting to collect things and pocket them. He loves his clothes with pockets. Today, I found 3 $1-bills (in 3 different pockets), a rock, a screw, 5 coins, a plastic size ring from a clothing store hanger, and a lego. At least I haven't found any bugs. There's always a silver lining, gotta look for it.

My mood: great

Hi Cora!

A Merry Belated Christmas to you and the little one! Just remember that it is a good thing that he brings home only items he can stuff into his pockets. My neighbor's son used to bring home tree branches because he liked the shape of them -- and his mom had the hardest time convincing him that he really only needed one stick. :D
